I am designing a main page for my website for someone else to convert to a landing page and I need to know what size the jpeg I am creating should be for optimal viewing on the web? I created it 600x800 but I think it is too small? Please help! I want for it to not have to scroll in any browser to be viewed and also do not want it to slow down the loading time of the homepage.

There would need to be an access database that had them all listed where I could keep them up to date with many fields for each one. Also a fairly sophisticated search mechanism. And possibly a google map page that allows you to see them all on a map. How complicated is this? How would I go about asking to have it done and what am I looking at spending for this?

I am a programmer with experience in .NET and several programming languages. I am currently creating a number of demo programs to demonstrate my skill in various areas for future jobs, should I ever leave my current one. I want to create a website using asp.net (with C# running things behind the scenes). But I need an idea. The idea or concept needs to be clean and completely legal and something that could demonstrate my abilities to interest employers. This will never be put in production in the 'real world' so I am not worried about trying to sell actual products or have innovative ideas to draw new customers. This is simply a mock-up website that I can host on one of my computers to demonstrate my talents during job interviews. Any ideas? Please do not suggest a blog or things that require Flash. The only thing I can currently think of is a simulated online store selling made-up products from made-up companies. This would allow me to demonstrate databases programming and design for products/categories, securely handling user accounts/passwords, and other 'real world' skills. However, if other ideas exist, I would appreciate your generosity if you would give them to me. Thank you.

I have made a new website on water rockets. It contains unuiqe design and my own new staging mechanism. It is still under heavy construction. I designed a site for someone, got it to be verified by the W3C using CSS and, now, the person for whom I designed it is using a Trellix Sitebuilder to overwrite all the stuff I've FTP'd. No matter what I do, it's always changing. He told me he knows nothing of the internet and so I had control. It took me one night to get a front-page that was great in every environment. Now look at it: www.seloundo.com The worst part is - he did it when I was on holiday and it went on Google at the same time... And changed the password, so I cannot access the FTP. I wanted to put this site in my portfolio, but just look at it... I've designed a few extra features such as member's areas and newsletter subscription forms. But do you think it's worth carrying on with the project considering that EVERYDAY he is changing it. Despite telling me that he's not. I know he is, because I can see all the activities... Why is my Master lying to me? Should I continue with the project or just wash my hands? I'm working on some personal stuff - I have articles to write, a book to finish, music to polish and a film project that needs attention. I DO want to continue Martial Art and I want to be conferred with a Teacher's (not instructor's) grade. He is the best teacher I have ever met in all the years I have been doing Martial Art. But I cannot work with him, right now, in a business sense. It's just such hard work - especially considering all the other stuff I have to do in my daily life. Please answer my question - I'm in a real dilemma. Carry on with his project? Why is he lying? Should I challenge him on these points? Please help me make the right decision. Thanks

We are trying to sell the lakefront cottage we built in 2002. We were going to retire there, and designed it with a nice studio for my wife and a large workshop for myself. Our realtors haven't found many prospects. We've advertised on Craig's List, including to out-of-state areas as a vacation home. I know that Congress approved a John Adams Memorial to be designed and placed on federal land, but I can't find any info on it. The official website just lists the names of the board of directors. Does anyone know how far along they are, such as if they have selected a design or a location?

Its not so popular yet but its getting there. I’m using www.tumblr.com. My theme has a nice vimeo style to it. The problem is its not created yet. Why? I dont know how to code. =[ If there is anyone, anyone who knows html or css could please help this dream come to life :). I will give you credit by mentioning you in the site at the side.
