I have found that the boat has left on the Social Network marketing. So many people are now doing this which is great but these sites don't attract the targeted audience most of us are after. People go here to socialise not to be sold to.
Think of it you go out on the town one night and your in a pub 'socialising' and some random guy comes over and starts trying to sell you a house. (this has happened to me once) Its not what you came to the pub for. and neither is been sold to on social network sites.
There are ways to market on these sites but it requires a light touch. What I have noticed happens a lot is you end up with hundreds of friends who are all marketing there stuff. This is great for seeing what other are doing but not helpful for selling.
I use facebook, twitter linkedin for three things a indexable and professional looking profile and a back DoFollow backlink (facebook and Linkedin). And to get my webpages, articles, videos indexed faster.
There are various ways through which you can promote your website through Facebook; however, you have to be very careful and clear about your target audience. If you want to create any lead generation from Facebook or you just need to create a buzz. It depends a lot on that.
You can have your continuous posts on Facebook to update your audience on the latest developments, you can share your website links, videos, you have can your own discussions. So there are lot many ways, but be clear about your target audience.
As a starting point, see this video:
and read this article:
Both are about Android UI patterns and both use the official Twitter app as an example. I don't think that app uses web views; it looks like it's mostly list views. I can't be sure without seeing the source code though (which I don't think they ever ended up releasing like they had planned).
You could check out the source code of the stock Android apps (Music Player, Email, Gallery, etc.) that come with the emulator to see how they do things.
There are a lot of tutorials at
You could also use a visual program like Droid Draw
These visual layout programs still aren't the best, but they help in the beginning to see how XML layouts work and you can use the code generated to get you started.
Check google app inverter for Android
no programming req.
