Open Question: Where is a website where you can post a graphic design you like, and then they take you through step by step?

Basically, I often find graphic design ideas (esp. on flickr) where I really like their techniques, but have no idea what they did or where to start. I know there are tutorials, but often they zone in on one thing, such as opacity. Often, I have no idea when I would use that technique in relation to my own work. Please note: I'm not trying to completely copy that person. I learn the best by seeing a final design and then figuring out how to get there.
