Nobody will read your lame blog even if you hire a plane to fly a banner over NYC.
yeah you should like totally get a twitter.you can follow celebs and evrything.of course that is very sad.but then again i AM sad!
If used correctly, Twitter can be a great thing.
First, determine what your blog is about. Is it about cooking? Video games? What? That’s your audience.
Next, get your audience and know what they want. If you have a cooking blog with recipes, no one will really care that you just added the eggs. They WILL care that you just finished smoking the ribs and will be putting them into the oven to get that off-the-bone feeling.
Next, Don’t use it just for promotions. Unless you have a new promotion each week, you’re going to lose people. You need something to get their interest.
Twitter is a great way to promote your blog. Twitter is one of the fastest growing social networking/marketing sites with over 3M unique users and growing rapidly. The platform is so likable that Facebook has recently made changes to mimic the Twitter Feed process.
I do suggest some reading on Twitter etiquette and what you should or should not post. Over posting of the same content is often frowned upon as well as Tweets like “going to McDonalds now” or “Just went grocery shopping” The Twitter community as a whole is seeking quality content just like anywhere else on the web. Be sure to have good information to offer the community. If you are not sure about what to write then wait and watch what others are saying for a bit. Be sure to follow some big names for a bit and see how they operate.
There are some great articles about Twitter all over the web. I suggest you google “Twitter Etiquette” or the same to get some insight and understanding.
I hope to see you on there! Have fun!
